THE U IN JESUS

THE U IN JESUS

Before U were thought of or time had begun,
God stuck U in the name of His Son.

And each time U pray, you'll see it's true,
You can't spell out JesUs and not include U.

You're a pretty big part of His wonderful name,
For U, He was born; that's why He came.

And His great love for U is the reason He died.
It even takes U to spell crUcified.

Isn't it thrilling and splendidly grand
He rose from the dead, with U in His plan?

The stones split away, the gold trUmpet blew,
and this word resUrrection is spelled with a U.

When JesUs left earth at His upward ascension,
He felt there was one thing He just had to mention.

'Go into the world and tell them it's true
That I love them all - Just like I love U.'

So many great people are spelled with a U,
Don't they have a right to know JesUs too?

It all depends now on what U will do,
He'd like them to know, But it all starts with U.

Sun Shine in Washington

I was told that there is only 52 days of sun shine in this area a year. How sad - Well I desided to count the days of sun (Only the days that I see the sun shine on the lawn.)

Well if that be the case, Summer will be very short, because so far this year it has shone on the lawn 6 days and I have only been counting for 13 days.

Great answer from the judge!

Great answer from the judge!

In Florida an atheist became incensed over the preparation of Easter Passover holidays. He decided to contact his lawyer about the discrimination inflicted on atheists by the constant celebrations afforded to Christians and Jews with all their holidays while atheists had no holiday to celebrate.

The case was brought before a judge. After listening to the long passionate presentation by the lawyer, the Judge banged his gavel and declared, 'Case dismissed!'

The lawyer immediately stood and objected to the ruling and said, 'Your honor, how can you possibly dismiss this case? The Christians have Christmas, Easter and many other observances. Jews have Yom Kippur and Hanukkah...yet my client and all other atheists have no such holiday!'

The judge leaned forward in his chair and simply said, 'Obviously your client is too confused to even know about, much less celebrate his own atheists 'holiday!'

The lawyer pompously said, 'Your Honor, we are unaware of any such holiday for atheists. Just when might that holiday be, your Honor?'

The judge said, 'Well it comes every year on exactly the same date---April 1st!

Since our calendar sets April 1st as 'April Fools Day,' consider that Psalm 14:1 states, 'The fool says in his heart, there is no God.' Thus, in my opinion, if your client says there is no God, then by scripture he is a fool, and April 1st is his holiday!
Now have a good day and get out of my courtroom!”

Way to go, Judge

It's Raining It's Pouring

Well today and many of the past days remind me of several rhymes.

It's Raining,
It's Pouring,
The old man is snoring,
Bumped his head,
Got back in bed
And couldn't get up in the morning!

or even

Rain, Rain away!
Come again another day!!!

But really, I love the rain. Only it is a cold rain right now. The tempature has been in the low 40's to mid 30's. But I will not complain because I don't do well with snow and it is not snow so the blessing keep coming.

The mountains are great when you see them on a clear day (Few and far between)

Our New Year celebration

HA HA !!!!

Us old fogies - Bill and I stayed up real late LOL till 10:00pm. We watched a movie the watched the ball drop in NYC so I guess we were up at midnight somewhere.

Shiloh was with Ashley on New Years Eve. He said he got off at around 11:00 and just about missed it, because he got to her house at almost 12:00.

New Years day, we spent time UNPACKING - uhg... then Danny (Bill's brother) Trish (Danny's wife) Michael (Their son) and Julie (Mike's wife) came over to watch football and play card games. We had a great time. We played Skip-Bo and Uno Spin. We relived a lot of old memories.

Unforunately when Trish and Dan were driving home they got a flat tire. Well at least they are home safe now.

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!
