Memorial Weekend.

This weekend was filled with Granddaughters. Brooklyn and Leila got to spend Saturday and Sunday with us. We took the girls to the Children’s museum in Everett.

Basically this is a huge playground for the kids. Their favorite spot was in the water works room. Sorry no pictures it was too wet in there. IT WAS HARD TO GET A CLEAR PICTURE OF BROOKLYN…. The child never stood still.

The roof of the place was a large outdoor playground. The girls loved it too. Not so sure I did. The wall of the dinosaur pit and I had a fight – guess who won?

We also took the girls over to Tupalip and let them enjoy the water spouts and falls.

Bill and I both were showing our age… Brooklyn said “Hurry up Memaw” as she pulled on me to get me moving. And Bill (Look at his face) worked hard not to fall when he got up from getting low enough to take some pictures.

Brooklyn and Leila loved to climb all over the rocks.

Monday it was back to just me and Bill. We took our Saturday drive on Monday…LOL

We love driving out to see the water.

Saturday Drive in Washington

We drove up to Blaine Washington. It is right on the border of Canada. We stopped at a park on Birch Bay. We were surprised to see this Eagle sitting in a short tree watching the bay. The tree was right at the side of the rode. It is unbelievable but the Eagle just sat there and let us take his picture. He would turn his head so he couldn't see us then turn back around. it was so cool. that is the closest I have ever been to an eagle in the wild.

We stopped as we drove past and then again on our way back and he seemed happy to just ignore us.
We also saw a flock of Heron in the bay. Here are a couple pictures of one of them.
The park was called Semiahmoo
They had a museum of Indian artifacts but the museum was close, so we walked around and looked at some of the displays they had outside. There was this totem pole next to the museum.

Sunday with the girls

Church was fun for the girls they like the Nursery. they like the treats that they passed out and the stories that were told.

The front yard was just as fun to play in.

Brooklyn did not want to leave the tulips in the garden... She thought they were way too pretty to leave out side and not play with them. Leila wanted to help Brooklyn with her flower arrangement.

The girls love to play with our neighbor's dog, LUCY! and Boy does Lucy love to play with them!
