Ward Fall Social

Fall Social for church --- Saturday 9-13 --- 4:30 - 9:30 pm

Bill had gone Kayaking that morning with his brother Danny. They always have fun but always come home exhausted. From the pictures it looks like they were having the time of their lives.
(Emily - Lonnie - Robbie) I had a lunch date with old wonderful friends. I have known them since 1960 in South Carolina. I went to Kindergarden and 1st grade with Robbie. And Lonnie was in my mothers Primary class. When we moved up to Washington in 1969, we were about 1 - 2 hours from where they lived. I remember going up and visiting them and they came down to see us a lot too. I was great walking down memory lane.

When we got home we thought why not goto the Ward Fall Social and at least stay for dinner.

Dinner was Baked Salmon (YUMMY), Fried Chicken, tons of different kinds of salad, tons of different kinds of desserts, and tables full of fruit. NO ONE WENT AWAY HUNGRY!!!!!!

As it got later and the sun started to drop, the children got to take hayrides. and they played in the fields of fresh mown grass. They liked building stacks of grass and jumping into it. They also got into grass fights. (I can just see all the bath tubs full of grass, when they got home.)

The sparklers came out then and the children had a blast with those. there must have been enough for each child to have at least six of them.

As it got dark the Camp Fires were lit. There were five or six spread out across the field.

Then the fireworks started. --- over an hours worth of never ending explosions.

I did not take a lot of pictures of the party but a ton of the fireworks. so sit back and enjoy.
